Newfoundland and Labrador Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (NLNPEA)

We are a network of community and government partners, working together to prevent elder abuse in Newfoundland and Labrador. Our vision is that:

Older persons will live in safe, caring communities where there is zero tolerance of abuse. This will be fostered by community awareness, protective legislation, and coordinated, responsive programs and services aimed at preventing abuse and providing a range of options for those who experience abuse and the individuals who support them.

To help achieve this, the NLNPEA strives to share information on elder abuse initiatives and resources in our province and to raise public awareness about this issue. We believe that by sharing information about what is happening in our province, we can more effectively identify gaps in elder abuse services, information, and research, and work collaboratively to address them. NLNPEA is an integral part of SeniorsNL's efforts to address elder abuse in our province. Membership in NLNPEA is free and open by registration to any individual or organization committed to ending elder abuse in Newfoundland and Labrador.
