SeniorsNL Attended the WEAAD St. John’s Citizens’ Crime Prevention Committee Event!
you to St. John’s Citizens’ Crime Prevention Committee for organizing
an excellent event. Seniors were very engaged with many questions and
much discussion and comment. The presentations were excellent - How to
Stay Safe by the RCMP and How to Protect yourself from Frauds and Scams
by Verafin. SeniorsNL was very pleased to partner with the St. John's
CCPC (our Information and Referral Line Peer Support Volunteer carried
out the pre-registration process). We had great conversations with
seniors and others at the SeniorsNL booth. The food was great. Thank you
to the Salvation Army Citadel (venue) and many volunteers including Verafin Staff (set up and serving). There was even a live band!
In partnership with the NLNPEA, an integral part of SeniorNL's efforts to create awareness and take action on elder abuse.
